For our first newsletter of the year, we would like to provide you with a new approach - we thought we would talk about ideas that influence our work. This newsletter we talk colour and light - two aspects that we feel embellish, enhance and enliven the spaces we create. When our projects are complete it is the play of light and the infusion of colour in places that surprise and delight that our clients truly enjoy and appreciate.

This is how we think it should be.

Feel free to provide us with some feedback on this revamped newsletter.

Colour psychology and designing with daylight in mind are two fascinating fields that deeply influences our well-being, emotions, and behaviours. The mere choice of wall colour can profoundly shape the ambience of a room,

Isn't it fascinating how colours can completely change the feel of a room?

I've been delving into colour psychology lately, and it's amazing how different hues affect our mood. Warm colours like red and orange bring energy to social spaces, while cool tones like blue and green create a calming atmosphere, perfect for relaxation.

Neutrals like white and grey provide a versatile backdrop for any style.

Considering your personal preferences is key when choosing colours for your space. After all, your home should reflect your unique personality and make you feel comfortable.

We believe in the transformative power of natural light and we consider how sun-drenched spaces uplift spirits and inspire productivity, while the gentle glow of afternoon rays creates a cozy retreat for relaxation. Even in dimmer areas, soft light fosters a sense of calm and focus.

Harnessing natural light, we craft environments that nurture creativity, happiness, and well-being.

At DiMase Architects, we understand the power of colour and light in shaping your environment. With a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for your individuality, we weave vibrant hues and natural light into every aspect of our designs. From energising social spaces to serene residential spaces, we create harmonious environments that reflect your personality and enhance your well-being.

Our commitment to personalisation ensures that each space is a  reflection of your lifestyle and design preferences, fostering joy, creativity, and comfort. We love bringing projects to life in full colour and daylight.

PROJECTS IN PROGRESS

Niea on site

While I like to give our friends at Prolifica Building Group a hard time for their super positive team first attitude - we are excited to be working with them on this new project in St Kilda. Both Niea and Sophy have been working closely with their crew (Simon, Karl, James and Peter) to make sure every element of this major renovation to a Spanish Mission home meets the needs of our clients. The new renovation will be a stylish companion building to the original Spanish Mission house.  The living spaces will look out to an existing pool, garden and paved area and we can already get a sense of how the finished project will look and feel.

We are excited to see the work on site unfold and come to life.

In HR news Paisley Piper has recently joined the DiMase Team as marketing manager. Paisley will be managing the firm's online presence.

With her experience from her Bachelor of Design (Interior Design), she brings her unique perspective to the team and or projects.

We are  excited to have her as part of the team and her work in the short time she has been with us has been really valuable. It won't be long before Paisley will start doing work on our interiors as she becomes familiar with our projects and design approach.
